On Christmas morning, 2021, around 3am, my sister, Debbie, heard a knock on her front door, a knock that would change her life forever! It was every parent's worst nightmare… two police officers who asked Debbie if she was Lillie Clack’s mother. At that moment… everything changed.
Lillie had been involved in a car accident, and it was critical. Debbie and Lillie’s brother Michael needed to get a move on, the police needed to get them to the hospital quickly.
The days that followed were an emotional roller-coaster, hanging on to any little bit of hope the doctors would dare to give. Lillie’s family were with her throughout and Debbie and Michael never left Lillie’s side however, two years after a global pandemic they still experienced restrictions that given the situation being so critical seemed unnecessary.
On the 28th December 2021 at 4.55pm, Lillie’s heart stopped beating, and she went to sleep.
Lillie had been killed by a driver under the influence, he was speeding and failed to stop for the police.
Our petition started back in March 2022, almost 3 months after Lillie's heart stopped beating - we took the decision to start a petition when we found out that driver's who kill do not automatically have their licence suspended, families have to wait until the court case - that can take anything from 18 months to 2 years! Lillie deserves more and with your help, we will make sure Lillie and anyone killed on our roads by a driver under the influence, gets justice! Please click below and sign - please DO NOT donate, just share. Whilst we have been grateful for the donations, they have not helped as suggested; we have found sharing gets the petition noticed more. Thank you
